Tennis Elbow Surgery
Add to Wishlist Button
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) is a common condition in which the lateral (outside) aspect of the elbow becomes increasingly painful. Typically if conservative measures (NSAIDs, injections, physical therapy) are unsuccessful, surgery may be considered. By making a small incision (2-3 cm), the lateral epicondyle (outer aspect of the elbow) and tendons can be visualized. The degenerative tissue is removed, and the remaining healthy tissue is repaired over the site of the pain. Occasionally a small hole is drilled in the bone underlying this tissue to stimulate healing.
