Arthroscopic Labral repair: The labrum is a cushion of cartilage that surrounds the socket of the ball and socket of the shoulder, and acts to deepen the socket and help stabilize the shoulder joint. When torn the patient may feel pain and episodes of instability (clicking, popping, and feeling as if the shoulder will dislocate). With the aid of an arthroscope and tools introduced into the shoulder through several small incisions, the labrum is fixated back to bone with the use of small anchors and powerful suture.
