Rotator Cuff Impingement Surgery (Subacromial Decompression): Rotator cuff impingement is a condition where the rotator cuff tendon is pinched between the humeral head (ball of the ball and socket) and the acromion (bony roof of the joint). With the aid of an arthroscope and tools introduced into the shoulder through multiple (usually three to four) small incisions, the cuff is fixated back to bone with the use of small anchors and powerful suture.
